Adzan
The Adzan (or Azan or Adhan) is the Islamic call to prayer, marking one of the five daily prayer times for Muslims. The adzan is traditionally called from a mosque by a muadzin, the person appointed to recite it, although in modern times it is often played through loudspeakers. The call serves as a reminder for Muslims to stop and prepare for prayer (salat), connecting with God and practicing devotion.
